This is a type treatment I did for the Comeback issue of Black Book magazine.

This is an illustration I did for Black Book magazine for their Comeback issue. It was for an article about Emily Blunt 'an English actress best known for her roles in The Devil Wears Prada (2006), The Young Victoria (2009), and The Adjustment Bureau (2011)'. The only instructions I had was for a type treatment that was 'feminine and ornate'.
This is the initial rough sketch that I did, which is pretty similar to the final, I just had to tidy it up a bit:
This is an illustration I did for Black Book magazine for their Comeback issue. It was for an article about Dallas star Patrick Duffy.
You can read the article online here.
This is an illustration I did for Black Book magazine for their Comeback issue. At first they wanted me to do two separate illustrations, one of LL Cool J on his own, and the other of the Invisible Bunny from the film Harvey. Then the editor had the idea of putting the two together and having a dialogue between them. "I've been here for years" is a line from the LL Cool J track Mama Said Knock You Out.
This is a type treatment I did for Black Book magazine for an article in their Comeback issue about Fiona Apple, which you can read online here.
This was the initial rough sketch, which as you can see has a fairly different look to the final:
This is a type treatment I did for Black Book magazine for an article about Detroit. I never read the copy so I'm not exactly sure what the article's all about (you'll have to buy the mag!) other than that obviously it's about Detroit and how it gets bad press but actually maybe it IS going to have a comeback soon.
The illustration above is very long and thin because it's intended for a triple page spread. The double page spread would have "Detroit will never come back", and then you turn the page and see"...or will it?". Scroll down for details and the initial rough sketch.

This is a type treatment I did for Black Book magazine in NYC. It was for their Comeback issue and accompanied a text about musicians making comebacks, duh.
This is a screenshot of my work in the online edition of The Bristol Magazine. It was there to promote Jamaica Street Artist's Open Studios weekend, which finished yesterday. If you're in Bristol, pick yourself up a copy, it's free!
