Frieze Art Fair 2008

This is where I have been all week: at Frieze Art Fair 2008. It was wonderful! The art, the excitement, the glamour, the stars, the sushi, the art, the outfits, the art. It was all there, in spades. The best bits for me were seeing Alex Katz' paintings real closeup, and some amazing Robert Longo drawings at Metro Pictures, New York. If you've never had the chance to visit Frieze, I definitely recommend a trip to London for it next year. To see more photos, click on one of the pictures above to visit my Flickr page....

Original Format Exhibition

These are some pictures from a wonderful exhibition that just took place in Plymouth, featuring work in its original format from the It's Nice That blog. If you haven't visited the blog, please do! It is a daily source of inspiration for me and i believe many others too. If you want to see more pictures from the exhibition, go here.
The exhibition is soon travelling to London, so you can visit it there to see all this fine w
The picture of mine that is in the exhibition is this one, in its original format which is a pencil and ink drawing on paper.

abstract work

these are pictures from my last yeat Art School back in 2006. I got very excited by grids at the time, and was looking at artists like Bridget Riley and Sol LeWitt. Eventually I decided that although my grids were beautiful and interesting, the process of making them was completely doing my head in, so I stopped, and went back to drawing things, people and places.
